Helpful tools: free online backups

Just spotted this, and thought it might be of interest:  A free online backup service . I mean, what’s the use of writing reams of carefully crafted prose or poetry, and then lose it all when your hard disk goes the way of all hardware.

The service is called Mozy, and it’s in beta right now, but it looks interesting. Yes, I said free, so I can hear you asking "What’s the catch? TANSTAAFL, if you know what I mean.

The catch is that it’s ad supported.

Here’s the catch - aside from the good karma we get for offering a great free service, every once in a while we get to send you email advertisements for products and services that we think are useful.

I’m going to give it a try. I’ll let you know how it works out.
