Helpful sites: Plain legal writing

Here’s a great blog if you are involved in any legal writing: Plain legal writing.

Wayne Schiess is the director of legal writing at Texas Law. He says he’s "Quite serious about the idea that legal writing does not have to sound so serious." Among other things, he says that people sound smarter if they use plain English, and even lawyers sound smarter if they use plain English. Most definitely worth a look.
